Proven Commitment of Service To Pompano Beach
Her Story and Mission
Mary married Edward Phillips and moved to Kendall Lakes in Pompano Beach in 1989 with their baby daughter Elizabeth Phillips. Together with the help of their homeowner’s association, they pulled the community out of litigation with the developer. While their daughter was enrolled in Palmview Elementary both she and her husband set as president of the PTA and moved forward an initiative to renovate the school. Through their activism and perseverance, the school was moved up the priority list and renovated. In 2008 out of concern that for the loss of businesses on MLK Blvd, she created Small Biz Community & Economic Development with the support of Community Leaders like Ira Blue and David McMillion. The organizations have created programs and events even to this day like the "Teens Chasing Dreams Program” and the Expungement One-stop and provided business support. Through collaboration with the community in 2024, she was able to ensure that $10 million dollars from Broward County be used for home Harding to bring down the cost of insurance and improve homes for low-income families in the community. There is still more to be done. She asks for your financial support and vote to win the election so she can bring positive change to Pompano Beach. She is not a career politician so you can trust that she puts the needs of the community front and center and leads with integrity.
